Nike Air Max 1 '87 Safari WSummit White & Phantom

Still as much of a game changer today as it was when first introduced in ‘87, Nike Air Max 1 was the pair that started it all, standing for progress of a different kind. Over the years, it's been re-imagined and re-tooled, but heritage - that always remains. This season the Swoosh reimagines the legendary sneaker with the Air Max 1 87, wrapping this with the Tinker Hatfield Safari print, the speckled texture which took the sneaker world by storm, inspired by a ostrich skin couch Hatfield discovered on a trip to NYC. The animal print is forever embedded in Nike's DNA and here it’s given a new lease of life. A ‘Summit White’ tumbled leather sets the base for the iconic pattern, where speckled suede overlays dress the side walls, toe and the Swoosh. Elsewhere, icy blue blasts hit the lace eyelets and outsole, with the iconic Air cushioning softening every step.
